Exciting first day at the Compliance Institute 2017. Networking with other health systems and learning about their compliance strategies has been the best part of my day so far. Great presentation this morning on HIPAA and the new audit trends. Definitely information that I will be able to use once I get back to Iowa. This afternoon I was able to attend a presentation on physician documentation in an electronic medical record and it was refreshing to hear others struggling with the same issues that we are seeing within my health system. Learned some great strategies to keep our health system compliant. Cannot wait for the rest of the week. Looking forward to more networking, and great presentations for the speakers. Definitely one of the best investments my health system makes in sending representatives to this conference. Looking forward to a great week and definitely looking forward to next year in Las Vegas.
