I came to the conference with a list of training questions I wanted answered. How many hours of compliance training should I be doing each year? What topics do I include in my training? Do I need to require 100% completion rates? What is legally required?
I realized quickly that these aren’t the right questions. There is no spreadsheet that will detail out exactly what I should be doing, and there is no one that can give me an answer that doesn’t understand my business, our culture, and our people.
What I also realized, and what I found great comfort in, is that these conversations are happening all around me at the conference and there are compliance professionals as passionate about this topic as I am. While I may not have the answers I was looking for, I will return home with a solid foundation on which to build.
