Roy Snell’s jeans and running shoes set the tone at SCCE’s European Compliance and Ethics Institute 2015: Unassuming. From the perspective of an exhibitor, the organizers’ approach to all participants – whether delegates or service providers – has been equal. And the truth is that we all do form a part of the same compliance community. We all have experiences to impart, ideas to share and people to introduce to each other – all of which contributes to advancing compliance and ethics.

One of the compliance officers met during the networking sessions commented that, within their individual companies, compliance officers often feel isolated and alone vis-à-vis their compliance issues. Conferences such as these create opportunities for the compliance community to recharge, refresh and regroup in a relaxed, content-focused and unassuming environment. All of the new contacts, new ideas, and new solutions we take away from the conference can only help us to better take on challenges of our field.
