The SCCE conference has been very interesting. The diversity of professionals, industries, and offerings is more than I expected. The presenters appear knowledgeable in their respective field. We all have something to learn from each other. I appreciate the international participation which are more similar than not. Compliance and ethics is everyone’s concern, not only locally as we are busy in our own industry or country, but globally. I didn’t realize there were so many countries present having the same issues, risk and needs for mitigation needs. I have met some very interesting individuals that struggle with the same issues and risk, surprisingly, they are from different industries. Although I have only been here for the first day, I am very impressed with the individuals present and the topics of discussion.
This isn’t like other conferences just to get you out of the office. There is real meaty content from experienced individuals in the field. I have enjoyed the sidebars and extended conversations in the hall and hotels. If you haven’t come to an SCCE conference before, you’re missing a great opportunity to share in your challenges and the opportunities to bounce ideas off others. Learning from others mishaps has broadened my perspective on potential risk that I hadn’t thought or experienced before. I strongly encourage you to come in 2017!
