This year’s HCCA Managed Care Compliance Conference was very informative. I really enjoyed the pre-conference meetings that took place on FDR’s and insight to other Health Plans risk assessment and monitoring plans.
The meeting started with Industry Perspectives, the three speakers from various Health Plans spoke on their challenges on structure and resolution to ultimately work toward a best in class Compliance program.
I was able to get some great ideas that I will start to work and implement. The break out session on risk assessment and monitoring hosted by Health Partners was one of my favorite because they shared with everyone that the risk is shared by the entire company so it should involve everyone to get a full understanding of risk from an operational perspective.
Overall I am enjoying the conference and I am excited to take back new ideas.
