The HCCA (Healthcare Enforcement Compliance Institute Conference) has been very informative. I am currently listening to an FBI representative speaking about how vulnerable the healthcare industry is to being targeted by criminal activity because of the availability of PHI, PII, and PCI in one location.
This has been very informative and I will definitely take this back to my organization to look at more thoroughly to ensure we are taking all necessary precautions. I was surprised to learn the depth of how the system administrators are targeted in order for criminals to utilize those individuals as a means to infiltrate organizations. This is definitely a huge eye opening sessions. I have enjoyed all the sessions thus far and have learned a lot! Thank you to HCCA for a great conference.
