Compliance is often paired with “Quality” in the industry vernacular. “Quality and Compliance” is as natural a pairing as Bacon and Eggs, Mickey and Minnie, and Abbott and Costello (and haven’t we all had a “Who’s on First?” moment in our quality and compliance careers?). As a first-time attendee at HCCA, I’m here to attest that HCCA *is* Quality. High quality presentations, presenters, tracks, conference organization. Information that crosses industries and segments. Focused information and information that is valuable no matter which industry segment one may occupy. Exceptional keynotes. Food, exhibitors, networking, events. Even yoga. Yoga! (well, yoga for those who are not quite as prone to sleep as this author). I’ve been to other conferences related to quality, some with a health care focus, some not. HCCA is lapping the competition in terms of quality, value, and the real opportunity to implement what we have learned back at the office. Needless to say, this first-time attendee is impressed. There is a passion for quality and compliance here that is electric among all the dedicated professionals that are here to better themselves, but more importantly to better their organizations. That is what is most impressive. There is an amazing level of quality-for-the-organization first on display here. It’s truly inspiring.
