I have attended HCCA conferences for many years and from each of them have come away with some new tool or knowledge to take back with me and apply in my role as compliance officer. I have especially appreciated the HCCA Enforcement Conference the last two years. I also attended it when it was combined with AHLA. At the Enforcement conference we have the privilege of hearing from government officials such as CMS and the OIG. This gives me a close-up and personal opportunity to hear from them what compliance should look like and also what they perceive as issues we should be concerned about. This conference gives me a chance to ask a question without fear: as one government speaker said,” you do not need to cover up your name badge when ask me a question.” Whether you have been in compliance for a long time or you are relatively new, HCCA conferences are a great experience!
I agree with the others. I attended this conference last year and loved it. This second year is even better. The topics are relevant and having the government officials here is great. I like the interchanges between the officials and the attorneys. It provides a good perspective on what’s expected and the real world. This conference is well worth the investment.
