Happiness…and Humility

I’m enjoying a variety of sessions, focusing especially upon areas of our C&E program that our team is improving. Each of the presenters, including familiar faces from past CEI and Academy sessions, have provided valuable insights into their own research, results, and lessons learned.

My moments of happiness have been many…”Hey, we’re doing that…etc.” But there have also been many moments of humility…”Wow! We haven’t even tried that.” and “Oh, that would have worked better than what we have implemented.” But very candidly, humility is not a bad thing.

As Roy and the panel have reminded us, our profession is new. We are pioneers. And, so I am very comfortable admitting that there is much that I don’t know. Similarly, in the networking opportunities that have abounded here at #SCCEcei 2016, I have an obligation to freely share what we have accomplished. Together we are wiser, stronger, and growing more relevant (thanks, Odell!) every year.
