For National Bring your Kids to Work Day, the University of California,  Office of Ethics and Compliance,  is sponsoring the below webinar.  Our intent was to “shine a light” on ethics and key compliance issues like bullying, harassment, fairness, etc. from our kids point of view.  During this webinar, the kids will be asked different questions around ethics and doing the right thing, ie: what does doing the “right thing” mean? Or if you have someone yelling at you when everyone else is around you, how do you handle this, etc.  This is a spoof off of the Art Linkletter series, “kids say the darndest things” and we are hoping it will be a fun way for the audience to experience a child’s view of ethics and compliance concepts.  We have no idea how this will turn out but thought we would try it.  Anyone is welcome to “listen in”.  It should be fun!

Do the Right Thing: A Kid’s Perspective on Ethics

Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance and Audit Officer Sheryl Vacca and the Office of Ethics, Compliance and Audit Services is pleased to present “Do the Right Thing:  A Kid’s Perspective on Ethics” a webinar delivered as part of activities for National Take your Sons and Daughters to Work Day.  Children from The Office of the President Staff will lead a webinar open to all UC employees. Participants in this webinar will hear these young people define ethical behavior and discuss the same ethical dilemmas all UC employees must address during the mandated training on ethics.  We especially invite sons and daughters of other University of California employees involved in Take your Sons and Daughters to Work Day activities on their own campuses to participate. We encourage you to listen in to this webinar to learn how our future University of California students, faculty and staff discuss their views on what “doing the right thing” really means.
