Data Dashboards:  What Should You Be Tracking [2017 CI Preview]
By Michael Rosen and Donna Thiel

These days, data is essential to a compliance officer’s success. Without the right data, you are working in the dark and may not have enough light to help guide your path of risk identification.

In our talk at the 2017 Compliance Institute, we will discuss key data points and measures that an effective compliance dashboard should contain. We will hear from experienced Compliance Officers on what data helped them stay compliant and what outside resources such as the OIG, CMS or CIAs they used to round-out their dashboard. This is your chance to see how effective compliance metrics can help you sleep better at night!

Not sure where to begin building a compliance dashboard? Join our session where we will help you:

– Learn what a dashboard can look like

– Learn how to enlist key stakeholders into the data you and they need

– Hear how companies that have to report to the OIG under a CIA have managed

– Learn how to determine the key data factors that are relevant for tracking

– Ask the experts how their dashboard has helped them and lessons learned in implementing

  1. Did someone say dashhoards????

I think this may be a session I just may have to consider. As one who uses dashboards (my goal is to design dashboards that provide the data that produces the information that those who see the dashboard find useful in a way where the dashboards update themselves as data is added to whatever data repository is used to create the dashboard) I am always interested to see what others are doing in this area.
