The reason why I attend the SCCE conferences is to gain knowledge, stay marketable, and networking. The diversity of the ethics and compliance professionals is amazing and the attitude of attendees is refreshing and empowering. As an ethics and compliance paralegal, I support trade controls, anti-bribery, and anti-trust for a global corporation in oil and gas. Attending the conferences allow me to gain areas of knowledge in other areas of compliance such as investigations and risk management which can only enhance my skills and value personally and to my organization. As a certified compliance and ethics professional, it is my passion to learn all and share all that I can with other colleagues and professional inside and outside of my employer and other network groups that I participate in. After my experience as an employee of Enron, it has become my promise to myself and others to help spread the word and need of ethics and compliance throughout corporate America.
