Finishing Day 1 of SCCE’s 2016 Compliance and Ethics Institute in Chicago – Feeling Inspired after only two breakout sessions and looking forward to all that I will learn in the next 3 days! This event is so well organized – they have thought of everything which has not been my experience in other events in the past. The location is perfect and everything is provided for so I can focus on the content and learning as much as I can in all of the sessions. There is a broad variety of speakers and topics and I have been able to learn about things outside of my role which will only help me to be a more valuable Compliance professional. There is something here for everyone and it has been fun meeting people in all industries from all around the world. Something fantastic is that they have provided slide decks ahead of time for all of the sessions which has helped me in deciding where to spend my time and which were best suited for accomplishing my goals. There was ample time to ask questions and participation is encouraged. I will be leaving here energized with new ideas and ways to do my job better. I am already thinking of next year’s conference in Las Vegas!
