I am really enjoying myself at the first day of the SCCE Compliance & Ethics Institute in Chicago. I have been to several compliance conferences, but this one is by far the best. I attended the all-day investigations workshop. All of the speakers were very well-spoken and actively engaged the audience during their presentations. Their advice was very good and came from many years of experience. This is information that is going to be very useful to share with my colleagues to ensure that we provide focused and timely support when investigations are conducted at our company.
The exhibit area has representatives from many different companies that offer compliance program support and enrichment opportunities for compliance professionals. There are lots of networking opportunities along with learning about all of the resources available here.
I am looking forward to the sessions related to training. I have assisted with training presentations and met with colleagues throughout my organization. I enjoy sharing the compliance message, and I am looking for some advice and guidance to ensure that I am as effective as possible. What good is a compliance program if people don’t understand it, don’t know how to follow it, and don’t trust those who run it?
