Art Weiss is Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer for TAMKO Building Products, Inc. in Joplin, Missouri. Mr. Weiss joined TAMKO in October of 2005 after six years as Senior Counsel for Sears, Roebuck and Co. in Chicago, where he worked in the Law Department on matters of Compliance, Trade Regulation, Marketing, Retail Operations and Loss Prevention. Prior to his service at Sears, Mr. Weiss served five years as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas; four years as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri; four years leading the Consumer Protection Division of the Kansas Attorney General’s Office, where he received the Marvin Award from the National Association of Attorneys General for his demonstrated leadership, expertise and achievement; four years as an Assistant District Attorney in Topeka, Kansas; and two years as Associate Counsel for the National Association of REALTORS®

Mr. Weiss earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas, and his Juris Doctor degree from Washburn University School of Law. He holds the designations of Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional-Fellow (CCEP-F), and Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional-International (CCEP-I) by the Compliance Certification Board.
