Attending my first Healthcare Enforcement Conference has been educational from the legal aspect and hearing from government officials. Sitting in DC where they just walk in from their jobs has provided a plethora of great speakers.

The Medicaid session this afternoon is amazing. All three speakers were spot on. Jim Sheehan this morning was good, as he always is from the speaking arena. Defining CIAs, Anti-Kickback, START, preparing for a regulatory review, privilege, and managing communication are just some of the session. Seeing colleagues from organizations that I have not seen in awhile has also been great.

Looking forward to hearing Kim Brandt tomorrow and her CMS Update, and speaking with Lisa Murtha on Clinical Trial Fraud and Enforcement should be not only fun, but enlightening! Consider medical necessity, payer activities, civil enforcement and cyber risks are just a few of the other topics.

Thanks to the sponsors and HCCA for an informative program. I am glad to have been asked to speak and able to attend and learn from some amazing speakers from all entities across the country.
