This has been an awesome first time HCCA Compliance Institute experience for me. I truly enjoyed Leslie ‘s (from DOJ) presentation this morning. I am so glad she is one of us in making sure our Medicare funds are protected. I could tell she is very compassionate about her profession. When she discussed the physician that harmed all those patients, I thought she was going to cry. I wanted to cry. Even though I had read about this in the news, hearing her voice and describe his criminal acts, it made me proud to know we have such a dedicated professional trying to “right the wrongs” in our society. I am looking forward to all the other presentations scheduled for us this afternoon and tomorrow but I am sure her presentations will be one of the most memorable for me. Thanks HCCA for bringing together all these awesome COMPLIANCE speakers!! I look forward to next year’s Compliance Institute!!
